Tree Sustenance Models

Ownership Drives: “WE” members undertake Ownership drives by providing Two Hours in the morning (10-12 pm) & evening session (4-6 pm) for drive on Sundays & Holidays (1-2) to hand over ownership of the trees planted on the dividers to the establishments based nearby. Members gather in large numbers (minimum 20 to 30 members) and visit dividers as a group, requesting people to sustain and take ownership of the trees planted for the environmental benefits of the society. “WE” members wearing T-shirts & Placards for proper identity specification is a common site across the city spaces on numerous occasions. We request the House Owners, Shop Keepers, Hoteliers and other nature enthusiast to take care of trees planted nearest to them for 6-8 months with active support of ‘WE” volunteers, as and when required. Beyond this the trees planted are self-sustainable. Wherever such model is not possible, then we distribute the trees among “We” members at the ratio of 30-40 trees per member. The watering requirement turns to be a frugal of around two liters once (drip irrigation in bottle) every 10 days, which is easily manageable.
